Recently I was perusing ModCloth in search of a new dress to wear on a Valentines Day date with the Mister and I was inspired by all of the heart related items that they had, so I thought I would share them with you lovely ladies.
They have a ton of adorable dresses that incorporate hearts into the design, either by the print in the fabric, heart shaped buttons and pockets, or cutouts in the actual dress.

I haven't chosen my date outfit as of yet, but I'm sure with such beauties as these, there is one out there for me. What about you, do you have plans for Valentines Day and if you do, what are you wearing?
Love the Bernie Dexter dress at the beginning. And that red and black number {I think it's Trashy Diva} is so 40s wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI don't really get into V-Day. Never had a Valentine anyway to celebrate.
I love Bernie Dexter dresses, don't own any yet, but they are on my list for one day, when I have money! lol
DeleteWe've never really put much effort into celebrating Valentines Day either but since we now have a toddler grandchild living we us, we never seem to have any time to ourselves anymore. Odd that we didnt feel this way when our own children were small. Maybe its because we are supposed to be empty nesters right now and are waiting for that to happen. hehehe But, anyway, we now find ourselves struggling to find alone time, so we use any Holiday as an excuse to get out of the house or go on a mini getaway.
I love hearts! My engagement ring has two hearts on it. I also have a heart tattoo.
ReplyDeleteMy two year anniversary is on 02/13 so we celebrate both our anniversary and Valentine's Day together. I'm hoping to make a nice dress out of some Asian jacquard fabric that I've had for a couple of years. Hopefully it won't be so cold I can't wear it out.
I hope you share your dress with us when you get it finished!
DeleteWe bought our house Feb. 14th 2011,this day will always be double special to me!
ReplyDeleteThats awesome!
DeleteI am loving the navy and white dress-the last one-I was eyeing that one bc it has such a 40s flare to it but not in my size-boo! I hope you and your hubby have a great Valentine's day! xox
ReplyDeleteI really liked that one too Bunny and I think its now totally sold out. =(
DeleteWhat a fabulously fun post to kick off the countdown to Valentine's Day with. I've always rather adored fashion featuring hearts, no matter the time of the year, and would happily sport tons of the pretty pieces featured here.
ReplyDelete(I'm planning a burgundy and pale pink 1940s outfit for my Valentine's Day look this year.)

Oh, I bet that will be lovely! I hope you plan on sharing it with us. =)
DeleteThis is such a fun post! I love hearts and have a couple of tops with the cut outs you shared. They are so fun. I haven't figured out my Valentine's Day outfit yet either, but there's still plenty of time to decide.
