Sandy Toes

While planning my wardrobe for our trip to the beach recently, I noticed my closet was sorely lacking in summer dresses, so I decided to invest in a couple.  I wanted to share one of those with you today.  I found this adorable dress at Pinup Girl Clothing.  It is the Jenny Dress and I love the Tiki print.

I love the shape and feel of this dress.  It is my first PUG dress and I am impressed with the quality and fit,  I'm sure it won't be my last.  The fabric has some stretch to it, but not a lot, so it gives you a little wiggle room on the measurements.  The straps are adjustable and the top has some boning for shape and is lined with satin.

We ventured out onto the beach for a lovely walk along the ocean, which, by the way, is not conducive to maintaining any type of hairstyle.  It's always such a nice breeze along the coast line.

  3. You look great! That is an awesome dress too. Wow looks like you got a bit sun burned. I usually stay out of the sun at the beach because no matter how much unblock I apply I get burned to a crisp. Not fun.

    1. I got a pretty bad burn a few days before these pictures were taken. I really wasn't out there very long and didn't think I would need to apply sunblock. Obviously I was wrong. lol

  4. This dress is just perfect for you. I can see why you'd want another! I've been recently venturing into retro inspired clothing too. It's nice to have a dress that is well made. I also see you caught some sunshine too! Good for you:)) Oh, and I love what you did with your hair. Lovely curls!

    1. Thanks so much! I really love the fact that retro inspired clothing looks like it could truly be vintage but you don't have the worry of damaging a vintage piece. It's also harder for me to find true vintage that will fit me, and not cost astronomical prices. Although, these retro pieces are not priced cheap by no means. ;-)
