Wearing Vintage Vogue V8728
You may remember this dress from here, it is one that I made.  The bangles I picked up at the local antiques store, the shoes I have had for probably 15 years.  They need a good cleaning but I'm not sure how to go about doing that since they are macrame.  Anybody have any suggestions?

Daily Outfits
Apparently I forgot to iron this before I wore it.  Maybe wrinkles can be counted as an accessory. lol. I picked this skirt up at a thrift store.  I like the length, its so hard to find longer skirts these days.  This top I have had for a couple years now, I love the color and the lacy neckline.  I think it came from Dress Barn.  The shoes are ancient and came from a garage sale.

Daily Outfits
The peacock blue of this blouse is one of my favorites.  I picked it up at JCPenney's more than 5 years ago.  The pants you have seen before and I posted about these shoes here.

Daily Outfits
This is my PUG dress that I blogged about here.  I also got these shoes there.  They are a little uncomfortable but I think I actually need about a half size larger.  The cardigan is thrifted.

  2. Denise, your hair is perfection! Gosh, I wish I had your skills. No matter what it always looks lovely. And I totally know what you mean. It's harder to find longer lengths, as in to the knee or calf. Being only 5'2 if I get an average instead of petite, it helps on getting the length just right.

    1. Aww, thats so sweet. I really do have bad hair days just like everyone else and tend to be quite lazy about fixing it on the weekends, especially if I'm not doing anything special. Most weekends you can catch me running into Walmart sporting a ponytail that is haphazardly thrown together.

As far as skirt length, being that Im 5'9, I have always struggled to find things long enough. Even skirts that would normally fall below the knee on most ladies usually hit me at or above the knee. I need a 23 inch skirt to hit right above my knee, so this makes it especially hard to find longer ones for me.

  3. Gorgeous dresses both! I really think pinks, peaches and corals look incredible on you, dear Denise. It's so fun to see your (beautiful, timelessly stylish) looks on Instagram and again here - I must take a style cue from you and find some coral shoes of my own one of these days.

  4. Your hair is amazing in all these photos. That pink dress is beautiful! I usually don't have the courage to make vintage Vogue dresses so I love seeing them made up by someone else. The little floral peep toe shoes are so cute!

    1. Oh you should give this pattern a try, it was quite simple. I did have some problems with fit so if you do try it I would advise going down at least one size, possibly even two.
